We donate brand new gaming consoles, games, and accessories to kids receiving hospital care. Gear goes to wards, playrooms, and bedside carts, and it is free for the hospital.
We partner with LVLUP, who donate to Consoles for Hope on every giveaway campaign they run. That funding buys the consoles, games, and accessories we deliver, so we don’t need to ask the public for money.
No, and that is by design. Everything we give is brand new and sealed, so we don’t accept used or refurbished equipment.
Our 501(c)(3) application is pending. Until it is approved we say so plainly anywhere the question comes up.
We work with child life teams and ward staff. They tell us what their unit can use and where it will get played the most, and we follow their infection-control and equipment rules.
We’re based in New York, NY, and we also operate in San Diego, California, and across Florida.
Every item is new in the box, unopened until it reaches the ward, and we defer to each hospital’s own infection-control policy on how it is handled from there.
Age-appropriate titles chosen with staff. We lean toward co-op play, short sessions that survive interruptions, and anything a sibling or parent can join in on.
